Candlelight Bowls

What a great evening we had for our annual candlelight bowls night. We began with a fabulous barbecue prepared by our Captain Mick and kitchen coordinator Lynda.  This lady along with her cohort’s from the club house food production team, Dorothy & Carol, triumphed over the rest of the quiz participants with their expertise in general knowledge.

The evenings competition was fierce on three rinks with the winner from each rink finally taking on each other in the final shootout.  Lesley prevailed after some brilliant bowling where the final bowl of the evening, in pitch blackness, took the jack with the best winning bowl ever seen at this event.  Commiserations to the other finalists Sylvia and Peter, who played a blinder throughout.

Big thanks also to our three Flashers. Dave, Bob and Bobby who shone their lights brightly so that the players could see the jack.
