FINALS WEEKEND 2019
Kind weather helped to produce a splendid weekend which saw 18 players battle out 10 different Club Finals. It was particularly rewarding to see a good number taking part for the first time.
And as for their delight on winning...........
We were treated to some excellent bowls and a couple of very dramatic finishes - in particular, the Ladies Singles & the Men's 100 Up.
Once again, spectator attendance was a little disappointing but, nonetheless, there remained an enthusiastic atmosphere throughout both days.
Delicious ploughman's lunches were provided by Carol Downes & Brenda Jowers - much complimented on by those who sampled them.
Our thanks to all those who helped with marking, scoring etc.
