Eastbourne Town Competition Finals 19th & 20th August 2025
This year, Hailsham Bowling Club had the honour of hosting the semi-finals and finals of the Eastbourne & District Women's Bowls Competitions. Entries to these competitions are open to women players of the ten participating clubs in the Eastbourne area, including Hailsham.
The competitions are made up of the Cameron Cup (singles), the Town Pairs, the Lifeboat Triples and the Town Fours.
The semis and finals took place on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th August and thankfully we were blessed with good weather on both days. The event was well attended by supporters of many of the players and members of Hailsham BC. Two of our members, Sally Pulling and Frances Baker, acted as markers for the Cameron Cup event.
Lunches were available to purchase on both days and all players and officials were invited to an afternoon tea in the club house after the presentations of the trophies by Ros Pickering, the President of the competitions & Francois Celeda, the sponsor of the competitions and a cheque for £650 presented to Ronnie Hall from the Eastbourne branch of the RNLI for monies raised at our Lifeboat Triples Day back in June.
It was a great priveledge for our club to host the event and we received very warm thanks afterwards from the Competitions Secretary.
